Nightrider is proud to introduce the AF-XIED for BMW F800 and Husqvarna to its product line. After extensive development and testing, we have adapted the most sophisticated version of our patented narrowband O2 sensor inline enrichment technology for use with the BMW Motronics 2.x series of ECM's used in the F800 motorcycles.
This technology allows the BMW AF-XIED to provide the most accurate control over narrow band O2 sensors achievable, providing quite accurate Lambda shifts from the emissions mandated 1.000 (14.7:1 AFR) to 0.939 (13.8:1) normally only seen by wide band sensor upgrades. Stable mixtures of Lambda 0.925 (13.6:1) have been seen in some bikes. All of this in a low-cost, simple, plug-n-play package that can be installed with a minimal of effort.

The BMW AF-XIED for F800 includes a custom designed plug-n-play harness adapters that allows the Rider to easily plug the AF-XIED into their bikes wiring harness with no additional modifications. Using OEM style connectors, installation has been simplified. This installation does not even require connecting a wire to the battery.

The BMW AF-XIED for F800 also fits select Husqvarna motorcycles. See the Husqvarna section of the catalog for current compatibility.

F800GS Rider
What a great product, and even better than that is the support offered after the purchase. I had a unit shipped to Australia. On my first ride I noticed that the bike was running extremely rich. I contacted the Nightrider support group and they provided me with the details of a few things to check. I did this and it was confirmed that the wiring loom itself was faulty, while the unit was fine. In no time at all they had a replacement wiring loom on its way to me. I fitted this last night and the bike is now running great and is very smooth to ride. I would recommend this to anyone that rides the F800GS, it is a very worthwhile purchase.

Mr
Works like promised. I can really tell the difference. My bike is running better than before and popping in exhaust pipe has reduced 90% and I also have more torque on lower revs. Only drawback is that it now consumes a little bit more fuel than before which is expected because of richer fuel mixture. I been using it in recommeded setting 7, I am thinking to put it 6. BMW F800GS 2011

Highly recommended
Installs easily, does exactly what I hoped. The performance enhancement may be termed as subtle but a back to back comparison makes the change seem big to me. Throttle response is strong and immediate now. I would never go back to stock. I imagine the exhaust valves run much cooler now that it's not running so lean. On the F800 GS, the unit plugs right into the stock plug between the O2 sensor to the ECU. The AF-XIED mounted easily under the seat and the ground wire attached to one of the bolts holding on the ECU. The hardest part was removing the black plastic cover that the seat latches to. That was't necessary but I chose to have the AF-XIED wire follow the stock wiring. It's not immediately clear how to remove the plug from the tab it is mounted to. The plug slides on two "rails" that capture it. In between the rails is a small tab with a hook on the moveable free end. Using a straightened stiff wire, (such as a coat hanger), push the tab to one side and slide the plug off of the rails. On the F800 that plug is just above the front part of the swingarm. It's a tight location to reach with your hands but the wire can reach the release tab from the left hand side of the bike.

It works as advertised. Fitting anything on the Nuda involves taking off the entire rear sub-frame and fuel tank and this is no different. I've e-mailed some more comprehensive instructions to Nightrider, so ask for a copy if you want to fit it yourself.

I've only done two rides of about 200k each since fitting AF-XEID. However the improvement to the bike was obvious from the start. Smoother take off. No surging at small throttle openings in town. Smoother and more punchy roll on at highway speeds. Tight twisty roads are no longer a chore, seeming to be able to run a gear higher than normal, and again a smooth transition of power exiting the bend. Fuel consumption does not appear to have been reduced, but more k's will comfirm this or not. Would I recommend it.....most definately
